User Account Control (UAC) 是在WindowsVista 中新加入的一種安全特性。簡單的講，就是在使用管理員用戶時把管理員權限和一般用戶權限分開。由於很多程序都需要高權限才可以運行，導致UAC頻繁提示，十分煩。很多朋友使用Vista都把UAC關閉，這的確是一個好的辦法，但是損失了安全性。Norton UAC Tool是一個全新概念的工具，能夠完全接管Vista內置的UAC機制。最重要的，提供了下次不再詢問的選項！

目前這個工具被放在Norton Labs裡面，還處於beta階段。賽門鐵克作為微軟的重要合作伙伴，據說可以看到很多微軟的源代碼，同時也是世界頂級的安全廠商。所以用他的工具來替代UAC我覺得是安全的。使用很簡單，下載回來安裝後即可：

會詢問是否開啟UAC，默認即可：

最後點Install就完成了安裝。卸載也差不多是同樣的過程。這個工具提供了一種和微軟不同的提示方法，未來還未提供聯網的白名單機制。目前的UAC對一般用戶來說基本都是直接通過的，還無意義。而賽門鐵克的UAC將會通過安全等級來詳細告訴用戶，並且實時更新的。下載Norton UACTool小提示：提供32位（NUACx86.exe）和64位（NUACx64.exe）兩個版本，注意區分。
